EP Yaying, a Chinese-based womens fashion brand, has opened its first U.S. store at American Dream.

The store is located in The Avenue at American Dream, a 300,000-square-foot corridor of upscale stores. EP Yaying is the 19th tenant to open in this part of the mega-mall in the Meadowlands. It joins anchor Saks Fifth Avenue, Hermes, Dolce & Gabbana, Saint Laurent and others.

The store was designed by acclaimed French architect Franklin Azzi, who has worked with the brand on its stores in China.

EP Yaying has more than 500 stores across in China. It was founded in 1979 as a local collectively-owned garment business in Luodong village with 34 craftspeople and 18 home sewing machines. In the 1990s, it expanded into Beijing and the high-quality silk clothing gained popularity.

American Dream is a 3.5 million square foot shopping, dining and entertainment complex located in East Rutherford. It opened its doors in October 2019, months before the COVID pandemic, which sent it into financial struggles its still trying to recover from.

Still, the developer has been announcing a steady stream of new openings — including an Apple store that opened last month. More are planned for 2023 including The Game Room Powered by Hasbro and Skip Barber Racing Go-Kart Academy.
